Third show this saturday

Art provided by local comic book artist CR Florence

We spent Thursday night tightening down the set and getting the songs in crisp, tight shape. We've added a new Misfits cover to the set and reworked an old classic, "Driving Nails In My Coffin." We are most excited about the new originals we are adding to the set. It'll be the first time we played them in public. One song is called "Quarter Deck Blues." My favorite line from that song is "Two Dollar Keno, Four Dollar beer, that ain't a dog a' barking. That's the woman who brought me here."
It's a two-hour set, so we have a healthy mix of improv jam-based songs, a splash of covers, and mostly originals.
CR Florence is a local comic book artist and he did a great job on the flyer. It always drives me nuts when I see AI flyers and images for band flyers, so we wanted to reach out and get help from the extremely talented pool here in the area.
You're looking at the new website! It was built with Python (Wagtail). I've wanted a reason to learn Wagtail CMS so this was my excuse. I'll add some features as we go along. Up next I'll need to add a contact page. Usually you get spammed to death by "SEO Managers" and their pesky bots the second a contact page goes up, so I'll have to figure something out.
Hopefully this will help us rely less and less on social media. We love staying in contact, but something about the tech bros and their algorithms kind of leaves a greasy taste in the mouth.
Anyway...first blog is in the books.
